Feature 1 – Toggle Linear Inferencing
This is an option that’s been requested for a long time – SketchUp’s linear inferencing engine, while very helpful, can sometimes get in the way when you’re trying to draw lines that DON’T align with an axis. This has always been fairly apparent when working on flat planes.
Now, you have the ability to toggle this inferencing on and off by tapping the “Alt” key on Windows, or the CMD key on mac. Notice that this only currently works for the linear inferencing (red, blue, green) and that your point inferencing still works the same.

Feature 2 – Weld Edges in Native Tools
While this is a function that we’ve had as an add-on in the past, weld edges is now a native tool inside of SketchUp.
This can be helpful for many different applications, but is especially useful for creating smooth extrusions. Currently, if you extrude a shape out of a face with a non-welded line, you’re going to get a bunch of ugly lines. By welding the edge before you extrude, you’ll get a better result!
This is also a function necessary for many different SketchUp extensions as well.

Feature 3 – Control Line Width, Color, and Pattern by Tag in Layout
They’ve also added the ability to adjust line-width, colors, and patterns of edges inside of Layout. This allows you to add dashes and lineweights to edges in Layout. Notice though, that this doesn’t work on section planes at the moment, which I think is still a huge gap in workflow, BUT this does provide more options for styling your documents in Layout.
