In this video I wanted to talk about creating Custom artwork with your own images for your interior models.
Creating Interior Artwork
A lot of the time, when you create an interior model, you’re going to want to furnish the interior in a way that makes it feel complete. You can definitely download some stock artwork from the 3d warehouse if you want to, or you can just do this.
This is a model I downloaded from the 3D warehouse by Arq Davi CL – #Interior Apartamento Moderno Luxury.Sala, and I’m going to add some artwork to it.
To do this, we’re going to import our image as a texture.
Start by modeling the size of your art piece. You’re going to want your face where the image goes to be a single, uninterrupted face.
Importing Your Image as a Texture
Then, you’re going to import your image by going to file, import. If your face is in a group, make sure you’re in the group before you do this.
Click on the corner of your face, then click again to re-size your image.
If you can get a good result by doing this, fantastic, but if you can’t, you can use the position texture tool to get it the way that you want it.
I wouldn’t recommend using super high resolution models to do this as they will slow your model down for no good reason.
You can put all of your art in a single group to turn it on and off. You could even create multiple layers of different art groupings to see what works best.
You could also use this strategy to add an image to your TV.
